If your organisation is subject to general duties work health and safety legislation, then you should be aiming to conduct a psychosocial risk assessment as soon as possible, if you have not already done so in order to meet your legal obligations.
After conducting your baseline assessment and commencing your psychosocial action plan, you should periodically check whether your control measures are having the desired impact. We recommend regular assessment every 6-12 months, depending on your progress against your psychosocial action plan.
In addition to regular monitoring activities, you should also conduct a psychosocial risk assessment when a new hazard or risk is identified; a control measure is not effective; a significant change is planned; workforce consultation indicates it is needed; or employee representatives request a review.
